Hi, I'm Rakesh
AI Leader | Builder |
Engineer
I build AI-powered apps, tools, and enterprise software experiences. Passionate about scalable architecture, elegant user interfaces, and reducing friction in everyday digital workflows.
Featured Work
A collection of my latest apps, tools, and experiments.
Research Projects
Innovative research and distributed systems architectures built by my students at San José State University.
IntelliRoute: A Distributed Control Plane for Multi-LLM Orchestration
SJSU CMPE 273 — Enterprise Distributed Systems, Spring 2026
Most teams that ship LLM features call a provider SDK directly, which fails when adding a second provider. IntelliRoute serves as a distributed control plane for multi-LLM orchestration, managing routing, quotas, and fallback mechanisms.
Mesh Control: A Self-Healing Microservice Mesh with Bounded LLM-Driven RCA
SJSU CMPE 273 — Enterprise Distributed Systems, Spring 2026
An autonomous Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) agent for a Docker Compose mesh of eight gRPC microservices. Subscribes to a NATS telemetry bus, computes per-service metrics over a sliding window, and triggers bounded LLM-driven root-cause analysis (RCA) for recovery.
TraceAggregator: A Distributed Observability Platform for Multi-Agent LLM Pipelines
SJSU Master's in Software Engineering
Multi-agent LLM pipelines fail in ways traditional tracing tools cannot surface. TraceAggregator is a distributed observability platform specifically designed to capture agent dependencies, trace agent state transitions, and diagnose pipeline failures.
Geo-Distributed Rate Limiting with AI-Driven Traffic Shaping
SJSU Master's in Software Engineering
A highly resilient rate limiter combining G-Counter CRDTs for cross-region synchronization, regional failover, a Prometheus-driven control plane, and adaptive traffic-shaping. Features live RPS forecasting (EWMA/Holt-Winters) to dynamically adapt rate limiting policies in Redis.
Distributed AI Gateway: A Fault-Tolerant, Routing-Based Compute Cluster for Federated LLM Inference
SJSU Computer Engineering Department
An innovative, cost-conscious inference system aggregating idle heterogeneous commodity laptops over a Tailscale VPN mesh. Implements intelligent prompt routing, live resource monitoring, and automated leader election/failover evaluated across a physical four-laptop cluster.

About Me
I lead AI transformation for IBM Software Support, turning LLMs and GenAI into real outcomes at enterprise scale. My work focuses on improving productivity, accelerating time to resolution, and increasing customer satisfaction by embedding safe, observable AI directly into support workflows.
I have spent over two decades at IBM building and scaling engineering platforms, including AIOps and cloud native systems with OpenTelemetry. I focus on building high performing teams, measuring outcomes, and delivering systems that create lasting value.
I have been teaching at San Jose State University since 2011, where I cover enterprise software, distributed systems, and AI. I am also a strong believer in giving back, and regularly mentor and coach students and early career professionals.
